Hi, I'm Sergio Cornaga. Collected here is virtually every game I've ever worked on, regardless of quality. Thanks to Glorious Trainwrecks and Knytt Stories Level Archive for generously hosting most of these downloads. You might also like: Duck Fight
Knytt Underground (2012)

Knytt Underground

Knytt Underground is the latest game by Nicklas ‘Nifflas’ Nygren. I was only involved in this game’s development in a small capacity (contributing graphics, testing and ideas) but I like this game a lot so I’m taking all the credit I can!

For those keeping track, this is the third Knytt title I’ve helped out on. I also provided tilesets and testing for Knytt Stories, and made the area ‘A Strange Dark Place’ in Knytt Experiment.

Endless Winter (2012)

Endless Winter

Another Knytt Stories collaboration, this time by myself and other members of Nifflas’ Support Forum. Unlike Rainy Day Adventure, which was made in just a few weeks, Endless Winter took over two years to see completion. This level offers a choice between scenic and challenging paths, placing difficulty more or less in the hands of the player. Nonetheless, a large amount of backtracking and exploration is required, so I wouldn’t recommend this level to Knytt Stories newcomers.

You will need Knytt Stories to play this level.

Snowflake (2012) | Juni Jones: Ace Attorney (2012)

Snowflake and Juni Jones: Ace Attorney

Snowflake was planned as an entry for caevstroy and dave.germain’s infamous No Solid Objects competition, but extreme dissatisfaction with the level design (or lack thereof) caused me to abandon it. Prompted by Healy, I put some finishing touches on Snowflake and released it, but the level design is essentially as I left it in 2010. The best aspects of this level are the amazing music by Fearofdark and the background art (viewable here, level spoilers) which I drew with a ballpoint pen.

Juni Jones: Ace Attorney was made for Peppyhare4000’s Bad Level competition. As a result of this, playing it is likely to annoy you. The endings are especially subpar. It features music I made (or at least assume responsibility for), including a song originally created for Snowflake to fulfil caevstroy’s assessment criterion of “bizzare custom music with samples of barnyard creatures”.

You will need Knytt Stories to play these levels.

defective (2011)

defective

Made for Klik of the Month Klub #48, marking a five month streak of participating in Klik of the Month Klub that ended tragically when I was busy during Klik of the Month Klub #49. This game is entirely mouse controlled. The audio featured is a massively degraded version of Hung Bunny by the Melvins. The audio has also been reversed, with surprisingly little effect.

Jesus: The 73rd Coming: Nobody is Left (2011)

Jesus: The 73rd Coming: Nobody is Left

Klik of the Month Klub #47 happened to take place at the same time as the Rapture, so that became an unofficial theme of the event. Several participants set out to make sequels to EffBee’s Jesus: The Second Coming: Hamburger Flipper, myself included. I feel that mine isn’t good, probably because I was really sick when I made it. Audio is a modified version of Jesus Is My Friend by Sonseed.

Bee Man (2011)

Bee Man

Made for Klik of the Month Klub #46. This is the first (and so far, only) thing I’ve created using Ren’Py, a program which deserves a lot of praise since I was able to learn how to use it and complete a game with it in two hours. The premise of this game was suggested by PurpleChair.

thurs day (2011)

thurs day

Made for the inaugural Timezone Lottery Klik Jam, a variation on Klik of the Month that takes place during a randomly allocated timeslot. thurs day is a brief interactive history of video games controlled using the arrow keys. It incorporates some of the wonderful art found at MYLONELYDAYS.COM (now defunct) and sound effects from James’ Circuit Bent Library.

Eyeball 3D: Maze of Felsh (2011)

Eyeball 3D: Maze of Felsh

Made in The 3D Gamemaker for Klik of the Month Klub #44. This program is interesting in that it encourages the use of pre-fabricated art assets and gameplay mechanics rather than content actually created by the user. The back of the box proudly states that it is possible to create over 12 billion unique games, whereas many other programs would quite safely be able to state that the possibilities are endless.

You are certain to experience technical difficulties with this game! On most systems, after starting the game once you will never be able to play it again without manually deleting the folder ‘C:\Windows\Temp\AckGame’ that the game creates. If everything is red (example) you might have better luck with this version of the game instead of the download below. Alt-tabbing out of the program may cause the screen to rapidly flash black and white. If you are prone to seizures, I recommend avoiding this game and probably anything else made with The 3D Gamemaker.

If this all sounds like too much for you, feel free to just watch a video playthrough of the game. Further discussion of the quirks of this game and the program it was made with can be found on its page on Glorious Trainwrecks.

parkour (2011)

parkour

This is a really small Knytt Stories level I made for Healy’s Urban Environments competition. The environment loops and there’s no ending, so just quit when you’ve had enough.

You will need Knytt Stories to play this level.
